1.  I liked that we got to work with the scratch program and also W3Schools because I think it is very important for us to know about coding. I also really like that you have music playing.

2. I have no complains about this class.

3. You should keep the music playing the whole class and make it a little more up-beat. J

4. Getting to have time the computer is always fun, free time is always appreciated.

5. I really did do my best in this class I like this class and hope to take AP Computer Science next year.

6. There are days when I slack a little but then I always try to remind myself to read it even if it’s just before going to sleep.

7. I am committed to becoming a CTR person because I know that that will take to a good future and I don’t want to jeopardize my life for some stupid mistake.

8. something that I think is important to pass forward is to be kind, to show kindness without asking for a reward. I think sadly many of my fellow peers think that being kind is not cool but it’s something that we need to pass forward in order to be good people and I believe that we can do that.

9. You Mr. Haymore is what I will always remember about this class, I really like how you always motivate us to choose the right please don’t stop any time soon.
Student Success Statement
“You will go far with CTR.”
-Mr. Haymore

Anyone and everyone is capable of choosing the right. We need to plan our goals because they will send us to our future.  No can tell us who we can or cannot become because that is for us to decide. It is our life and we have control over it, we decide if we want to CTR and have a good career and life or if we want to CTW and have a miserable life. Making goals will only serve as a guideline for us, it is up to us to make sure that we actually accomplish our goals and stay determined to make them a reality. If we are choosing the wrong we need to stop that start choosing the right. We need have a little talk with ourselves and think about the decisions we are making. We need to ask ourselves if we are making good decisions and if thee us anything else that we can do to make it better.  It’s all up to us; we decide what we want to make of ourselves, not anyone else.

Becoming Your Best: The 12 Principles of Highly Successful Leaders

Principle 1: Be true to character
Principle 2: Use your imagination

We should always be ourselves no matter what. Even if we’re trying to fit in or be part of the “cool” kids we should always be ourselves. Why should we have to change in order for people to like us, when we have true friends they will like us for who we are. When we try to change for someone else, what good will that brings us? I can understand if you’re changing to become a better person but if we just change so that someone can like us better, that will be of no benefit to us. No we must never change for someone else unless we are changing to be a better person, we must always be ourselves. Many say that your imagination is the strongest weapon that you can have. I agree. Your imagination allows you to be able to solve a problem by looking at it from many angles. Sometimes we may not see the solution because we are just not looking at the problem correctly. Our imagination sparks creativity which allows our ideas to flow. When we use our imagination we are able to think outside the box and that allows us to see the problem more clearly and it helps us come up with a better solution then we may have thought of.

Principle 3: Apply the power of knowledge.

Knowledge is power! We can go anywhere with knowledge, it can take anywhere we want. Without knowledge what would we do? In order to be successful we need to have knowledge. When hiring some, people look for someone who is smart and full of knowledge. Someone without knowledge won’t go very far in life, having little knowledge leads you down the wrong road because you don’t know any better. We make better decisions the more knowledge we have because we are able to see the consequences that will come from our decisions. Knowledge will lead anyone to success if they use it properly and they are willing to always gain more knowledge. That is why we go to school, to gain knowledge  so that we can use it as adults and go far with it.

Principle 4: Never give up.
Principle 5: Find peace and balance.

It is important to never give up when trying to achieve your goals. Even if we may think that we won’t be able to reach our goals because we think that it’s too hard, we need to keep going and never stop. If we give up half way from achieving our goals we won’t get anywhere in life. If we just give up on things there’s no way that we will be someone successful because we just give up. When we’re determined to achieve our goals nothing can stand in our way. Even if obstacles appear we need to push pass them until we reach our goals. It is also important to find peace and balance in our lives, without it we would be too stressed out and wouldn’t be able to do our work correctly. We need to have peace so that our minds can be clear and relaxed. We need to learn how to balance the things in our lives. Somethings we have to many things going on in our lives and we don’t know what do. This can cause stress and it can also make us lose our priorities.

Principle 6: Live the Golden Rule
Principle 7: Build and Maintain Trust
Treat others the way you want to be treated.

We learned from a very young age that that is the golden rule.  We need to treat people how we want them to treat us. If we don’t want someone being mean to us them we must treat them kindly so that they can treat us the same way. If we go around being mean to people them that what we’re going to get in return, people don’t like being pushed around or being mistreated that is why we must treat them nicely. Even if someone come off as a mean person and treats us badly, we must not be like them and do the same to them or to others, no, we must still treat people with kindness and respect. How we treat others shows the kind of person that we are, if we go around yelling at people and calling them names no one is going to want to be around us. But if we treat people kindly and show that we have good manners then people will like you because you’re nice and you’re not trying to push them around. Treating people kindly will also lead to them trusting you because they see that you are a good person, this takes us to principle 7. When we have someone’s trust we need to ensure that we don’t do anything jeopardize that. We need to show people that we can be someone who they can trust. Being trustworthy is very important; when we lie about thing even just once people will not trust you as much. Just imagine working as an adult and you lie about something and your boss finds out. They are going to think that you are someone they cannot trust. That would limit your success if your boss can’t trust you how is supposed to give you a better job or even offer you one if you come off as untrustworthy.

Principle 8: Quick to listen slow to wrath

There are times when all we do is let anger consume us. Instead what we need to do is just lend an ear and listen first. People have reason for telling us things, they may not always be nice thing but that is no reason to get angry. What will getting angry do? How will it benefit us? It’s better to just listen first and see what that person has to say and their reason for saying those things. Sometimes we are told things we don’t like hearing for our own benefit. For example let’s say I have a really bad habit and my friends point it out and I get angry about it. I have no reason to get mad, friends want what’s best for us and if they see that I have a bad habit they’re pointing it out to try and get me to stop not to make me feel bad about myself. If we just listen to what they need to say we’ll come out benefited because we will have stopped that bad habit. Listening is not always want we want to do but it should be what we’re quickest to do, because and an angry attitude will get you nowhere.

Principle 9: Lead with vision.

Leading with vision is a talent. To some people it some people it comes so easy, but others have a hard time. People who have vision are great leaders they are able to see great things and they make it their goal to make their visions a reality. All great leaders have a vision for their people or a vision of accomplishing something great. They make it their goal to make those visions come true. They don’t give up, they don’t let obstacles stop them, and they fight past them until their vision is a reality. These are the types of people that we need. We need people who have something that they want to see come true, and they won’t let anything stand in their way. People, who won’t give up because the road seems tough, people who are determined.

Principle 10: Manage with a plan.

We can’t just go and things, it is important to have a plane. If you don’t make a plane then a how are you going to know what to do first or where to start? Planning makes it much easier for a person to achieve the goal they want to reach. If you have to ask for help then don’t be afraid to do it, asking for help is nothing to be ashamed of. Getting help would most likely make it easier for you to make a plane. We need to plan how we are going to achieve our goal. The steps that have to be taken and what we’re going to do to make sure that we achieve our goal. When we have a plan we are able to reach our goals faster and become a better person. We also become more successful and we’re not just wasting our life doing nothing. Great leaders always have a plan in mind and in action.

Principle 11: Do what matters the most.

If we put of doing the things that matter, what’s going to happen to us? We need to do what needs to be done instead of procrastinating because procrastination leads to nothing. When we work hard and do what need to be done, we can be sure that we are on the road to success.  When we stay determined and work hard on reaching our goals we will become someone successful. And when we get older we will take that with us. When looking for a job and you show that you do what matters, what has to be done, they’re not just going to look over you because they can see that you are someone worth having. No one is going to want to hire someone is lazy and just procrastinates on their work. When we do the things that matter most we are headed for a good future. There will be times when we want to do something else like go out with friends or go to a party, but have to make the choice of going out or working on what matters the most now. Even if it’s hard the sacrifices we make today will be the reward of tomorrow.

Principal 12: Be accountable

How are people supposed to trust us if we cannot be accountable? In order for people to know that you are someone they can depend on you need to show them that you are an accountable person. We need to show how responsible we are and that we can handle whatever work they give us. We also show them that we are good at making decisions and that we are able to justify why we make to decisions. We show them that we make good decisions and not bad ones, that we are able to not only be responsible for ourselves but for those around us. If we grow up with these characteristics they will be our number one trademark. Who won’t want to hire someone who is responsible and makes good decisions, and someone who looks out for those around them and not just themself?

Reflection: These gems will help me become a better person. I think any great leader that there is has there principles in them. The gems that I will find important to me are Be Accountable and Do What Matters the Most, I think these are very important to me as a person because I like having people in life who I know that I can trust. I do not like people who put things off and let the people around them down. Any great leader is dependable, people don't  want someone they feel might let them down or someone who they think will not do their job. Another principle I like is Quick TO Listen Slow to Wrath because as a leader you need to be able to listen to the ones around you. Sometimes you may not like what you are hearing, but we must still listen because sometimes we are told things we don't want to hear for our own good. A leader can't just get mad and throw a tantrum, no, they need to be collective and listen to there fellow audience.

“How the Internet Works”

The internet is a bit more complex than I thought I would be. I never knew just how vulnerable my information on the internet was. Luckily there are people finding new ways to make it safer and to keep up with the new computers. I learned that we could use certain keys to send private information but that those keys could easily be hacked.  When the keys are short it won’t take very long for a hacker to decipher a message that is why the keys have to be super long so that the hacker cannot decipher the message no matter how fast his computer is. I also learned that everything in the internet is connected in some way. It is a great way to send information to someone all the way across the world in seconds. Something interesting that I have also learned is that the IDP Addresses have had to increase because there where every few. They also had to expand now everyone can have an IDP Address. Internet bits travel though many different paths even if they all lead to the same way because in case something happens to some pathways there will always be other pathways. It also helps with speed  so that there isn’t much delay.

Ten Tips for Being More Truthful

                                                             -Barbara A. Lewis

Tip 1. Make a commitment to tell the truth.
Tip 2. Tell someone about your commitment.

These two tips go hand in hand. By doing both of them you will be choosing the right decisions. When we commit to tell the truth we are taking a great step to choosing the right. We tell someone what we are doing so that we cannot forget about our commitment to the truth. No one likes being lied to it’s a horrible feeling and it makes you feel betrayed. When we care to be the right person and we want to be successful we tell the truth. When we don’t tell the truth people don’t trust us and trust is a very important thing in life. How are we supposed to get anywhere in life if no one trusts us to do anything. Our image is ruined when we don’t tell the truth, it is very easy to loose someone’s trust but it is very hard to regain that trust.

Tip 3: Think before you give a dishonest answer, explanation, sarcasm, or irony.

I think this tip is something we should all keep in mind. What’s going to happen if we give a dishonest answer and get caught? Well first of all, that person is going to lose their trust in you. They are going to think this that you are someone who isn’t trustworthy. Second they will tell people that you lied creating a bad image for yourself. This is going to get in your way in you want to become someone successful because you already have the reputation of someone who is a liar and cannot be trusted. If you lie to someone who trusts you, you can hurt their feelings because they thought that you were someone who they can trust. There nothing worse than the feeling of being betrayed and that is how the person is going to feel. It’s always better to just be honest and tell people the truth. That way you can be trustworthy and you can be well on your way to success.

Tip 4: Be careful of when and how you use exaggeration, sarcasm, or irony.

There are times when we make certain remarks about people and we may not be think about what we’re saying. This can come off as sarcasm or irony and we may not realize that we hurt someone’s feelings. This is why we must always be careful about what we say because even though we might not mean any harm by it, we can still end up hurting someone’s feelings. We may exaggerate on something that we think is just funny but to someone else it can be serious or personal. We need to think before we say things to people because we never know when we can hurt or insult someone by the things we say. It’s important to be careful when we use exaggeration, sarcasm, or irony because when they are used, even if in a harmless way, we can end up hurting someone’s feeling.

Tip 5: Be careful not to twist the truth or leave out part of it.

It is important to be 100% honest. When we only give part of the truth and leave out some people may think that there is something we are trying to hide. Others may think that because you are not telling the whole truth you are lying to them. Once people see that you leave out parts of the truth twist the truth they will think that are untrustworthy. Twisting the truth, in many people’s eyes, is consider lying, because your making other excuses and not telling the truth. It is important that we tell the truth and nothing but the truth, when we start saying lies we get caught up in the wrong path and always come out with a bad image. People don’t want someone who is going to be lying and hiding things from them. People want someone they can trust, someone who will tell them the truth no matter what. The truth is always the correct path. Lying only send you down the path of failure. Telling the truth sends you down the path of success. Telling the truth is choosing the right.

Tip 6: Don’t indulge in little white lies.
Sometime lies may not seem to be very big or they may seem like they can’t do any harm. THAT IS NOT TRUE! Even if it’s a small lie, it can still have big effect. A small lie is like a ripple, it will only keep getting bigger. The bigger the lie gets the harder it will be for you to get out of it and the more trouble you’ll be in. it’s always better to just stay out of lies and tell the truth. Even if you will get in trouble by telling the truth, the consequences are always bigger when you lie. We may think that by lying we are doing good but that is never true, we need to always be honest to the people around us and to ourselves. If we become someone who only tells lies then eventually those lies will consume you, all you will be able to do is lie and no one will be able to trust you. When on one can trust you where do go? How can you make a successful life for yourself if people don’t see any good on you because you’ve been lying your whole life. We not think of it much, but lying has great impact on us it’s always easier to tell the truth and choose the right.

Tip 8: When you catch yourself lying, throw your mouth into reverse.

We need to stop ourselves when we catch ourselves lying. Lying never leads to anything good, at the end there’s only trouble waiting for you. We need to be honest to the people in our lives because they are the ones that are going to be there for us in the future, we need to build a trusting relationship with them from the start. If we meet someone new and from the beginning we lie to them. How are they supposed to trust us? They are going to thing that we are someone who only tells lies and can’t be trusted. We give them a bad image of ourselves. There are going to be people in our lives when we grow up and they can either take to success or they can make sure we never succeed in life. They’re not going to do this just because, no, they’re doing this because we showed that we can’t be trusted, that we lie, and that is why they will not help us. But if we show them that we can be trustworthy then they will take us to success. It’s important that as adult we don’t us lying as a way to try and cheat our way to success. Even if cheating does help for a while, what’s going to happen when someone finds out? No one is going to want to hire you because you’ve shown them that your someone who is willing to cheat they’re way us and that you lie meaning you can’t be trustworthy. Lying is never the answer and if you ever catch yourself lying just throw your mouth into revers.

Tip 9: Talk to yourself.

There are times when we do things without even realizing that we do them. We don’t think about our words, we just say them. When we find our self at a situation like this we must stop ourselves and think for a moment. We need to ask ourselves, “What am I doing?” and “Is this really something that I want to say or do?” Asking ourselves these questions will help us think and clear our minds. When we ask these questions we also may realize that we don’t want to do whatever it is that we were going to do. We may also realize how our actions can hurt someone and how it may affect ourselves to. IT IS ALWAYS IMPORTANT TO THINK OF OUR ACTIONS AND ASK OURSELVES IS WE REALLY WANT TO DO THIS.

Tip 10: Treat yourself when you tell the truth.

It’s important to always tell the truth. You feel good when you tell the truth, and you know that you have done something good. When you tell the truth you can treat yourself because you have done the right thing. There are many ways you can treat yourself, for example you can buy yourself some candy or something else you want to buy. There are many ways for us to treat ourselves but in my opinion the best reward is the feeling you get knowing that told the truth and that you choose the right thing to do. But of course who doesn’t like a reward and after all telling the truth takes great courage at times. We should all treat ourselves in whatever way we want; it is after all a treat for ourselves because we did something good.

Reflection:

These ten tips will come in handy to me whenever i find myself about to tell a lie. I think everyone can learn from these tips. For example; tip 9: Talk to Yourself, I think this is a important tip because sometimes we make decisions based on what other are telling us too. peer pressure can sometime affect our judgment and we may do things that we don't want to, that's why it's important to talk to yourself and ask if you really want to do it. Another tip that i think is important and helpful is tip 1; Make a Commitment to Tell the Truth, this tip may be the most important because we should all make this commitment. Making a commitment to never tell a lie and always tell the truth will make us stop and think at times when we find ourselves about to tell a lie. We'll stop and think for a bit and ask ourselves, "What am I doing? Do I really want to break my commitment?" This will make us reflect on our actions and hopefully it will stop  us from telling a lie. All of the tips are important to keep in mind at all times. We must remember to not indulge in little white lies because those will only lead to big lies and trouble. And we must also remember that telling the truth is the right thing, even if it's not always the easiest thing' and when we tell the truth we should reward ourselves for it.

The Ten Keys to Personal Power

Key 1: Clarity
“Have Vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life. Have a sense of direction and know where you’re going. If you do not have clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do.”

When trying to reach our goals clarity is definitely what we need. There is no way we can reach our goals if we don’t have a clear mind about our life. We need to know what it is we want in life and move all the trivial things to the side. When we have clarity we are able to set our goals and set the goals that will take us to our success.

Key 2: Competence
“If you commit to excellence, opportunities will always come your way. The harder you work, the better you get.”

Being competent means you have the ability to do something successfully or efficiently. We all the have ability to be competent but it is up to you if you want to be a successful competent person or an irresponsible person. When we get lazy we put important things aside, but a successful person will successfully get the job done, on time, and without any procrastination. I also agree that committing to excellence will lead to opportunities heading your way. Working hard will always pay off even if it might not seem like it at the moment in the end your hard work will pay off. Many people think that they are wasting their time doing extra work but that is not true in the end your hard work and dedication will pay off. So many opportunities will come your way and your future will not be a problem because you have already worked hard to make it a good one, all you have to do is keep it going.

Key 3: Concentration
“Make the best use of your time. Ask yourself “Is this the best use of my time.” before you start anything.”

This should always be something to ask ourselves. I agree because why are we going to waist our time doing something that will not benefit us in anyway. We need to focus on our future and do thing that will lead us to greatness. If we spend our time doing things that will not be beneficial for our future we are going to stay behind instead of staying one step ahead. It is always better to be ahead of the game then behind it. If we waist our time playing video gamed or just watching TV we are going to just waist out lives. All the time that was spent watching TV or playing video games we could have been doing homework and studying; doing something that will actually benefit us down the road. We need to do the things that are going to benefit our life because it will make way for a great future.

Key 4: Common Sense
·      Train your mind
·      Think things through
·      Listen to your intuition
·      Learn from setbacks

Common sense is something that we as humans have; we have the capability of making the right decisions as well as the wrong ones. It is up to us to make the right choices because it is our life. Even if all of our friends are doing something and its bad you have the right to choose if you want to participate as well. We need to train our mind to make the right decisions, even if we make a few wrong ones that is okay because we can learn from them, a few setbacks never hurt, they teach us good life lessons. When we are faced with a challenge and don’t know what to do we need to just take some time and think things through. In some occasions you might not know what to do, when this happens you should just listen to your intuition, something we instantly know something is wrong, this is when we should follow our intuition.

Key 5: Creativity
“Except the fact that every human being is a genius. The hallmark of creativity is asking questions. The people who are most creative ask the most questions.”

Creativity is in everyone, we all have it, some more than others but it’s still there. It’s always great to ask questions, we learn new things when we ask questions. I think that asking questions is something we all need to do when we are presented with something because they give us and idea of what to expect and we can think of new ways to make it better. Asking questions shows that you have interest in the subject whatever it may be and we also show how we are determine to learn and do a good job.

Key 6: Consideration
“The quality of your relationships with other people will determine your success in life.”
“Develop the people skills you need to become a better communicator. Take courses in listening, speaking, etc.”
“If you were to learn one new word a day, within 5 years, you’ll be the best educated person in history.”

We must considerate of the people surrounding us. This will help us have a good relationship with the people in our life. Sometimes we may not know how to approach someone but we can at least try and see if there is any way in which we can help them. We have to be considerate of people because if we’re not we can end up hurting peoples feeling. Even if you don’t meant to hurt someone’s feeling when you are inconsiderate and only think of yourself you will most likely end up hurting the people around you.

Key 7: Consistency
“Dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast spurts of work.”
“Be consistent in your relationships, your family, friends, your boss, your work. Be the person that they can depend upon. That if you say you’ll do something you do it.”

It feels great to know that people can rely on you that means that you are responsible and trustworthy. You always have to be consistent with what you do I think that that will definitely lead people down the road of success. Your work should always show consistency of great work. It should show that you took your time and that it wasn’t last minute or rushed. I also think that it is important to keep a constant good relationship with the people around you because you are they’re influence as well as yours. We keep consistency by choosing the right! The right path is not always the coolest but we must never stir away from it.

Key 8: Commitment
“No success is possible without commitment. The ability to commitment to yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success.”

“Become totally absorbed in your work.  Be totally committed.”

When it comes to our life we all need to be committed especially if we want to be successful in life. Life isn't for slackers it's for people who are willing to work had and stay committed to their work. When we stay committed to something the work gets done fast and easy. When we aren't committed we don't do the best that we possible can and that isn't a good characteristic to have if you want to be successful.

Key 9: Courage
“The fear of failure is the single greatest reason for failure in life.”

There will come times in our lives when we feel like have no courage in us, but that is only because we are letting fear take control. There will always be things in this world that we fear but have reach deep down and look for the courage that is in all of us. If we let fear stop us from doing something it is only going to affect us because we’re stopping ourselves from doing something that can benefit us. It takes great courage to do something our afraid and it takes even greater courage to push past the fear of getting it wrong or of failing. No matter what obstacles stand in our way one of the biggest obstacles for a human is always fear. No matter what we need to make sure that the fear of failure never stands in our way, always push it aside.

Key 10: Confidence
“You only get confidence by doing things over and over again.”

When we first do something new we might feel fear and that is perfectly fine. We don’t always have the confidence to do something but that should never stand in our way. Even if we are scared to do something we should have confidence in ourselves and try it because once we do it one time it won’t be so hard to do it a second time. The more we do something the more confident we get in doing it. Some people aren’t as confident as others; sometimes they need a little push to help them do something. I think it is also important to make others feel confident, it won’t just make them feel good but it will also make you feel good about yourself.

Reflection: These ten keys are all great i think that anyone who Incorporated them into their lives would definitely see results. I personally really like key 1, key 7, key 9, and key 10. i'm not saying they are the most important keys but to me i think they are the ones that stand out. Key 1: Clarity is a good key because when we are not clear about where we want to go and what are plans and goals are in life, we get clouded by things that aren't important and get lead into other paths that aren't the best ones. Key 7: Consistency is also an important one because if we just give up on things we're never going to get somewhere in live. sometimes we give up because we don't think that we can do it or because we're scared and this is where key 9: Courage comes in. We should never give up on something because of fear of failure, that is never the way to do things. Fear is only in our minds and we cannot let it get a hold of us we need to push it away and bring out the courage in us so that we can succeed. Key 10: Confidence is also a key to put into our lives. We all need to have confidence in us so that we can stand out and do things without any fear.

7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 1: Be Productive
“Habit one is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that’s why it comes first. It says. “I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. I’m responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver’s seat of my destiny, not just a passenger.”

I think that being productive really does help you become successful because if you’re lazy and you never do anything then you’re not going to go very far in life. When you’re productive you can make a difference and actually do things that will benefit you and help you reach your goals in life. Productiveness will give you success people are going to look at you and they will admire you for the things that you have accomplished and the things you are willing to accomplish. Being productive means that you are willing to think differently make decisions different from others and not being afraid to do them. You will find better choices and you will go against the current but that won’t stop you because you have to be willing to do what others don’t do.

Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind
“Control your own destiny or someone else will.” (Jack Welch)

It helps to start with the end in mind. When you start a new objective in life it’s good to start with how much you are going to gain and accomplish from all of this. That motivates you to keep going even if you feel like you can’t do it you have to think about the good that will be in the end and hoe happy you’ll feel when you finish. I always like to think about my reward at the end of the road when a start anything new, it keeps me motivated and help me finish to the end. When we just start something without thinking about the end in mind, it is most likely that you will give up. You will give up because you don’t thinking of what’s waiting for you at the end of the road and you don’t have anything to motivate. I really like this quote by Jack Welch because it speaks the truth; if we don’t make our own choices and follow our goals and dreams we aren’t going to go anywhere. When we don’t make our own paths someone else will make them for us and it’s probably going to be a path that we aren’t happy with, but that is what we get for not making any decisions of our own and choosing to go down our own paths and make our destiny what we want. I wouldn’t want anyone but me to make my destiny because only I know what I want to accomplish and what my goals in life are.

Habit 3: Put First Things First
“Organize and execute around priorities.”

You always have to put the most important things in your life first. When you don’t you get distracted with other thing that just waste your time and drive you away from your goals. For examples our homework, as soon as we get home we should start on it right away because if not we get distracted doing other thing and then we’re never going to get it done. I do this a lot and it is something that I am working on improving in my life because I know the consequences that come out of not prioritizing yourself. When you put of doing what needs to get done you fall behind and the next thing you know there is no way that you can catch up. Trust me it is better to put of watching TV or just being on your phone when it comes to doing what needs to get done. When you prioritize yourself and do what need to be done first you get to go it at the pace that you want and you don’t have to worry about getting everything done last minute.

Habit 4: Think Win-Win
“Think win-win or no deal.”

You always need to think positively and with a good attitude because we don’t know what the outcome of something will be. You’re not always going to win and you have to be happy for those who did because just as you worked hard they also worked hard as well. Also even if you didn’t win you can always try again and know you have the experience and know what to work on so that you can improve. When we are selfish and only care about wining people around you will not like you because you have a selfish attitude and you can’t even congratulate someone for their hard work. Having a positive attitude helps because when you only think about wining and don’t see that there could be the possible outcome of you losing, you’re setting yourself up for a huge disappointment in the future. It is always great to think that you can win but you also have to think about other probabilities and possible outcomes.

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand then to be Understood
“Diagnose before you prescribe.”

Sometimes you don’t know what someone is going through and they might not want to talk about it, you should always be considerate and try to understand what that person is going through. For some people it’s harder than other for them to express themselves and you have to give them time and let them explain themselves. We need to pay more attention to what others feel and listen to what they are going through. This will help us as people because we all need to learn how to listen to others. People aren’t going to want to be around you if all you are interested in is yourself. You can more friends listening then talking.

Habit 6: Synergize
The whole is greater than the sum of its part (1+1=3)

Some of you may ask what is synergize? Synergize is when you are able to cooperate, to be able to work in a team, to have open mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems. It’s very important for everyone to have these qualities in them because they make you a great person. When you are bale to h work with people with no trouble the work gets done fast and easy. Unlike when you are being stubborn and you aren’t willing to listen to others opinions and ideas. The work will not get finish on time and you are giving everyone around a hard time when you can simply cooperate with them.

Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
Four Dimensions of Self-Renewal: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, and Social/Emotional

I think that renewing yourself is definitely something that we should all do because if not then we’re overwhelmed and we can’t do things right. Renewing ourselves helps us work better and it’s something that our body needs. Sometimes we are really stressed out because of school or work and our body can’t handle all of that pressure that it’s carrying. There are some ways that we could help our body relieve some of that pressure. For example we can make sure that we get the right amount of sleep, make sure that we eat healthy foods, exercise and take some time off every once in a while. We are only human after all our body can’t handle everything and it shouldn’t have to.

Reflection:
All of the seven habits are important to follow is you wan to become someone successful in life. I honestly think that these habits can help you become a better person and help you with your life. I'm going to apply these seven habits into my life and see for myself just how effective these habits can be. I think that the most effective one will be, well all of them because you can't do one with out doing the other. One of the habits that I really like is habit seven, Sharpen the Saw, because I think this is something us as human forget to do a lot, we forget to give ourselves some time and relax and take care of our bodies. Another habit that I really like is habit five, Seek First to Understand Than to be Understood, I like this habit because as humans sometimes we don't take the time to understand the people around us and listen to what they're going through because we are trying to get through our own things. But i think that we should listen more and try to understand people before making any assumptions about them because what ever it is that they are going through, we might also be going through the same thing or might have already gone through what they're going through and we can help them. Those are my favorite habits I'm sure that everyone has their own and as long as you follow these habits it's fine with me.
